Overview

SuperGraphics partnered with acclaimed Seattle artist Aramis O. Hamer to bring her stunning vision to life through the Seattle Hope Corps Initiative. Led by the Downtown Seattle Association (DSA), this program enriches the city center with inspiring public art that revitalizes the community. Hamer’s work—a celebration of bold creativity and cosmic themes—became a centerpiece of this transformative project, and we were honored to help amplify her artistic voice. Check out her website here.

Client Goals

Through the Seattle Hope Corps Initiative, Hamer sought to bring her signature artistic style—infused with bold colors, celestial themes, and a celebration of femininity—to a large-scale public space. Her goal was to inspire connection and creativity in the community, taking her work from the studio to the streets to enrich Seattle’s artistic spirit.

Unique Features

This project stood out for its collaborative effort to reproduce one of Hamer’s original hand-painted artworks as a large-format mural. SuperGraphics worked closely with Hamer and other key stakeholders to ensure her artistic vision was honored throughout the process. By transforming her intricate and vibrant painting into a public installation, the project successfully captured the essence of her work while making it accessible to a wider audience.

Hamer’s work often explores themes of nature, femininity, and the cosmos, and this piece exemplifies her commitment to creating art that embodies light and love. Her vision aligns beautifully with the goals of the Hope Corps Initiative: to inspire and energize through public art.

Challenges and Solutions

One of the primary challenges was scaling Hamer’s intricate artwork for a large-format application while preserving its depth and vibrancy. A high-resolution scan of her original painting was provided by a trusted partner, allowing us to focus on the printing and production process. By fostering a close connection with the artist, SuperGraphics delivered a mural that stayed true to her vision and met the project’s high standards.

Client Feedback

Hamer was thrilled with the final mural, sharing her excitement about how it captured the essence of her painting while translating seamlessly to a public format. Her satisfaction reaffirmed the success of our collaboration, and seeing her work contribute to downtown Seattle’s revitalization was a proud achievement for both the artist and SuperGraphics.

The Bigger Picture

While our direct collaboration was with Hamer, this mural is part of a broader initiative led by the Downtown Seattle Association to reimagine public spaces through art. Projects like these not only highlight the incredible talent of local artists but also strengthen the community by connecting people to the city’s cultural heartbeat.

Conclusion

This collaboration with Aramis O. Hamer highlights SuperGraphics’ dedication to supporting artists and bringing their visions to life through innovative large-format solutions. By helping to translate her original artwork into a mural that inspires and uplifts the community, we played a meaningful role in Seattle’s vibrant public art scene.
