Public Statement 🎙️
The City of Seattle came to SuperGraphics with a problem: their existing mural only covered half of the Mayor’s Office wall, making televised press conferences appear incomplete and off-balance. They needed a full, cohesive visual solution that would look polished from any camera angle — and they needed it installed on a curved sound board surface.
We designed a complete experiential wall installation with dimensional signage with custom-cut boards, providing a seamless, high-impact backdrop for their communication needs. To bring the city to life visually, we partnered with local photographer Tim Durkan, whose panoramic image of Seattle became the focal point of the mural.
Installation required precise engineering. Since the surface wasn’t traditional drywall, we used dual-lock Velcro to attach the panels to the acoustic material without causing damage. Each board was cut to maximize coverage and minimize seams — including onsite hand-trimming around the existing City Seal for a custom fit.
The finished piece combines bold city imagery with dimensional signage, transforming the space into a professional, camera-ready environment for official events.
The response was positive, and the updated backdrop now provides a consistent visual identity for press conferences, civic announcements, and day-to-day communications from City Hall.
