SuperGraphics partners with local plastics distributors to answer the call for Respiratory Face Shields at local hospitals.
Seattle, WA – June 25, 2020 – SuperGraphics is proud to have partnered with local plastics distributors Laird Plastics and Calsak Plastics to manufacture 15,000 face shields for local hospitals.
The COVID-19 global pandemic has caused significant hardship for first responders and essential workers, including an immediate shortage of PPE materials. A primary supply for hospital staff is respiratory face shields that provide secure protection against airborne particles. Local hospitals reached out to plastic distributors Laird Plastics, Calsak Plastics, and SuperGraphics with the challenge to engineer and manufacture these technical face shields to alleviate the shortages caused by the pandemic. SuperGraphics and partners rose to the challenge and, after significant design and engineering, produced 15,000 face shields for local hospitals.
SuperGraphics President, Reid Baker, commented on the process: “We saw this as an opportunity to give back to the organizations and people that are on the front lines battling the pandemic. We were also excited to have essential work to keep our employees working and engaged in a community need.”
