Turning a Big Idea into Reality

The University of Washington’s partnership with Blizzard Entertainment for a World of Warcraft sponsorship aimed to enhance the game-day experience and highlight the power of brand collaborations in college sports. This initiative set a new precedent for integrating gaming with athletics.
 

Bringing the Vision to Life

The goal was to create bold, high-impact visuals that engaged fans, players, and media. Strategic placement was essential to maximize exposure and showcase the synergy between the two brands. Executing this effectively ensured stakeholders saw the full potential of such partnerships.
 

Getting It Just Right

After surveying Husky Stadium at UW, we worked closely with the sponsorship team to determine optimal branding placement. Our precise templates ensured visuals were positioned for maximum visibility, strengthening audience engagement and media coverage.
 

Tackling Challenges on the Fly

Midway through the project, a vendor issue created a significant challenge: the helmet stickers, a key branding element, were suddenly unavailable. This presented a major hurdle, as the helmets played a central role in promotional content and game-day visuals. With little time to spare, we sourced a custom gold metallic material to match the helmets, ensuring consistency across all branded elements. After thorough test prints to verify accuracy, we finalized the design and installed the decals just in time for a high-profile Xbox photo shoot.
 
The ability to adapt quickly and secure a solution within such a tight timeframe wasn’t just about getting the job done—it demonstrated the importance of agility in meeting sponsorship and client expectations and ensuring brand consistency under pressure.
